As a goldsmith, Elisabeth consciously works on a small scale.
Each piece of jewelry is created in her studio in Vienna, without mass production and without industrial processes.

For me, sustainability means not catering to short-lived trends, but creating pieces of jewelry.

Recycled Gold & Old Gold Purchase
A large part of the work is created using the casting process. For these steps, Elisabeth Habig collaborates with selected foundries in Austria.
These companies primarily use recycled gold sourced from existing material cycles.
This also applies to the collaboration with the company ÖGUSSA , an Austrian company with a long tradition,
The focus is on transparency and responsible handling of precious metals.
In addition, all leftover gold is collected in the studio and melted down again.
Offcuts, miscasts or unused parts remain in the material cycle and are incorporated into new works.
This way, work is done with what is already available.

Gemstones and origin
Gemstones play a central role in the design process.
Whenever possible, stones are used whose origin is known or can be verifiably documented.
In practice, however, this is not always clear.
