How do I determine the correct ring size?
Do you want to order a ring from an online shop but aren't sure what your ring size is? Or do you want to surprise your girlfriend with a ring but don't want to ask her size? Then it's best to read these instructions and determine your ring size from home.
On which finger would you like to wear the ring? Keep in mind that for right-handed people, the right finger is usually slightly thicker than the left. The time of year also plays a role: when fingers are warm, they often swell a little; when they are cold, they become thinner. Therefore, you should measure your ring size when your finger is at a comfortable temperature.
Measuring ring size with an existing ring
If you already have a ring that fits the correct finger, it's simple: measure the inner diameter. The table below shows which ring size (circumference) corresponds to the inner diameter.
Make sure the ring is round and not oval. If it's oval, measure both lengths. I can then calculate the circumference, or you can use this formula: Circumference = [(Inner diameter length + Inner diameter width) / 2] x π

Measuring your ring size with a ring sizer
You have the option of ordering a ring gauge from my online shop. You only pay the shipping costs, which will be refunded upon successful order placement.

Measuring ring size with a strip of paper
If you don't have a ring handy, you can determine your ring size using a strip of paper. Keep in mind that the knuckle is usually the thickest part of the finger.
Cut a strip of paper approximately 1 cm thick. Wrap it around the thickest part of your finger, making sure it's not too loose. Now mark the overlap of the paper and measure the marked area. The result in millimeters is your ring size.
